10- Meeting and quorum of DCIF

 

 1. The EC shall meet at least once in a year (12 months).
 2. Meeting of the EC by telephone or by e-mail is allowed and valid.
 3. Additional meetings of the EC shall be convened, if need be, by the Chairman.
 4. At least 3 or 2/3rd (whichever is higher) members of the EC shall constitute a quorum for a valid meeting of the EC.
 5. If the required quorum is not present within half an hour of the scheduled time of the meeting then the meeting shall get adjourned to the same time of the same day in the following week, at the same place.
 6. If the quorum fails in the adjourned meeting as well then the meeting shall stand dissolved.
 7. Without a proper quorum no business shall be transacted in the meeting.

Notice for the EC meeting shall be given by the Secretary General or Chairman, at least 15 days (or such other period as is mutually agreed amongst the EC members) prior to the meeting, by telephone, mail, e-mail, fax, etc.
 9.

The notice, as above, shall indicate the nature of the business to be transacted at the meeting and no business other than that business shall be transacted at the meeting, except the ones which all members of the EC present in the meeting agree to treat as urgent business.
 10. Chairman and in his absence the Vice Chairman and in the absence/unwillingness of both of them any other member chosen by the present members, shall preside over the meeting.
