Heavy overnight rainfall which led to the cancellation of the second ODI and as the ground was unfit for a Test Match it was decided to play a Twenty/20 match. ECAD batted sensibly early on with Ben Young 29 and Mike O'Mahony 29 leading the way.A swift 17 from Nigel Davenport saw the home side reach 123 in their allotted overs, a competitive total in the conditions. The Pakistan openers came out with all guns blazing but lost a succession of wickets to some rash shots. The accuracy of Nigel Davenport 4 overs for 5 runs and Blyth Duncan 4-25 from 4 overs saw the visitors struggling. Stefan Pichowski and Stephen George kept up the pressure with impressive spells both taking two wickets for single figures. The Pakistan innings petered out at 72-8 with Luke Newton pouching three catches. The innings closed with ECAD victorious by 51 runs
